When Simona Is Bored

This how my newest soundcloud account is called. I decided to upload all the nonsenses I do whenever I'm bored, so that the world could embrace all the weirdness I make....

My newest weird creation - AutomatonAttack. I made it within 2 hours. I had an insomnia, was bored and didn't know what to do. So I opened my DAW software and made something that turned out to be this thing. I was so bored that I even made the picture...

The Ghost Inside

It's been a while. I was busy with my studies, and to be honest I still am. I'm not complaining, I love studying Popular Music at Falmouth University. I didn't think that we'll be philosophizing about hegemony in popular culture, about autonomy of art and how music subcultures can be subversive.
Actually, nothing really happened during almost two months in the UK; some things happened, but not something you might be interested in.
okay, see you later! And hopefully I'll have something to talk about next time.

New Blog's Background And New Beginnings

With my very last exam I took yesterday, my very last school's summer holidays have practically started. All I need is to attend a graduation ceremony and receive my diploma. And that's it! I'm free from school forever.

So, with lots of free time, I decided to finally change blog's design. Nothing molto grande, but at least I've managed to change colour schemes alongside with font and, obviously, the background.
I have some ideas for future posts, and this summer might be quite prosperous time for the blog. I hope.

I've decided to start summer season by watching one of my favourite band's concert I haven't seen in ages. Therefore, I'm going to watch it right now.

Bye!x

There Were Times....

Me and my sister in our blanket tent

...when we used to make houses, forts or tents out of blankets, bed sheets and other things we were able to find around us at home. We built them anywhere in our houses, or even outside if the weather was right.

...when our cats or dogs were our best friends who understood us like no-one else.

There were times when climbing into a tree was a no big deal; it was every kid's inevitable duty to do so.

We knew of no downfalls, the life was so simple and it was so easy to spark smiles in our faces. We were undamaged and didn't know how worse our lives can or will get in the future. It's funny how we all wanted to be grownups, and when we finally are, we don't really understand what's good about being one. Problems are equivalent to the age; they grow and get bigger as we grow.

Conclusion: I'm a nostalgic b*tch; I overthink and overphilosophize things.
Good for me.
This might be the result of my increased caffeine intake. OR I might be another Confucius, Hegel or Plato.

Want a cup of Coffeetea?

I've always had this weird idea about mixing two of my favourite hot drinks – coffee and tea, and then making a whole new drink. I've called it Coffeetea [kɔ:'fiti:]. It's a four-month-old inside joke I made up when I was in my silly mood as I joked about starting my own business and making this drink. I use it when someone (or maybe I) offers a drink and I don't know and don't really care what to drink - coffee or tea.

So, I end up saying 'I'd rather have a cup of coffeetea'. As a result, the person has to decide for me (I know, I'm indecisive evil creature).
I know it's silly, but I think I'll go for it and try a mix of my favourite espresso and black tea, because it's stupid to joke about something you don't actually know. So, I'll report what it's like as soon as I try it.

Wish me luck!x

End Of The World? NAH!

Because I've got a tin foil hat!

Anyways, this end of the world bullshit doesn't mean anything to me at all.
I've got plenty of things to do in my life! Carpe diem!

Take care!x

Long Time No See

the view from my room's window

It's been quite a while. Today I promised myself to write here more often, starting from now.
I already hate winter. There's too much snow in my town. I caught a massive cold and I feel like I might cough my lungs out. Besides, the christmas spirit has forgotten me again and I still feel like it's october now.

Few weeks ago, I've been visited by my old 'friend' - insomnia. I couldn't sleep for two weeks. Finally, it's all gone, although this must have been one of the side-effects of the medication I'm taking. Fortunately, all the awful side-effects are almost gone as my body is getting used to the meds.

However it is, I'm not going to talk about my problems, although it is a part of my life that makes me who I am. You know, everything in our lives is connected - it all adds up and makes us who we are right now.
We shouldn't be ashamed of what is happening in our lives (I'm pretty sure I'm quoting somebody I cannot remember right now).

so... yeah...

Happy b-day to me!

While my beloved British are celebrating the Queen’s diamond jubilee, I am celebrating my 18th birthday. How awesome is that?
So, today I stepped into the adult world.
It’s some sort of tradition writing my a-la birthday post :D
This birthday has been the best b-day so far! I received an amazing postcard from my sister which I will upload later :)

Here's the song that has been playing in my head for a while

Take care!

Everything's Ironic, Really!

a picture I took in the stairwell of the block of flats where I live.

Right now my old TV is playing Eurovision songs in the background. And I'm not really fond of it.
I still cannot forget the fact that some prick with childish handwriting carved the word "jedward" on my stairwell's door. And that I have to see it every time I get out of my flat... awful

I've been so messed up that I didn't even notice when my grey hometown became green.
You know, when you're depressed you tend to not see things happening around you. You just... live and basically that's it.

Yesterday I heard in the news that the winner of Lithuania's international golf championship became a thirteen year old kid . Weird, isn't it?  The thing is that Swedish man who was in the lead and who is twice as old as that kid disqualified himself (YES, himself) after he told that he's been practicing illegally at nights in the golf court where the championship took the place. What is more, that kid hardly holds the golf stick, so, my dear golf playing friends, I suggest visiting Lithuania and trying to win this golf championship (Of course, I've got nothing against the kid. I know, in the future he'll be great).

There are only two weeks left until the start of my summer vacation! I cannot bloody wait!

Oh, and I'm still working on my of my own songs' demo tracks which I'll send to universities in the UK. I sometimes think that I tend to overdo things that are really important to me. On this case, I'm trying to make my demos THE best in the world (Quite hard task to do, huh?)

Ok, that's all from me now!
Take care!

Big jet plane...

Hello world! I'm sorry I've been dead these days but this post won't be all about my apologies.

So, despite my awful insomnia, things are going pretty good.
It's weird but since autumn I've started talking out loud about my real wishes and what I'm planning to do with my life.

And, to be honest, I'm afraid of my future as long as my life's been so slow these past two or three years. I'm afraid that my life will eventually start changing and everything will happen so fast that I'll feel lost. Don't get me wrong, I want my life to change.

This year is going to be very busy because I'll be applying for studies in the UK, taking an English language exam and attending auditions/interviews at the universities. Very busy year!

Anyways, I still have a plenty of things to write about in next posts, and I can ensure you, they will be more interesting than these random blurbs.

take care!x

Fuzz goes investigating: a face of a purrfect man

Randomly, I decided to find out if there is such thing as "an ideal type of men's face"
I found five photos of men who looked nice to me. I used their face shapes, eyes, noses, lips and their hair only once and put them in random order.
So, using my photoshoping skills, I mixed their features and made five different men.
....Here are my results:

He looks sort of like a typical Lithuanian guy (in a bad way, of course)

a-la bohemian artist

He is my favorite because he looks like an owl (???)

Actor of cheap comedies

the shitting model

Fuzz goes straight to the conclusion:
They all look.... erm... weird to me, so I think there isn't such thing as "an ideal type of men's face".
If you try to make a good looking man out of from many other photos, you will never get the good looking one. It's because that every man and every person in this world is unique. They are unique in their own way.

Experiment two: a very ideal man
All you need is:
*a random victim with his/hers own opinion (I chose my sister);
*a computer;
*the internet;
*googling skills;
*photos of nice men;
*photoshoping skills;
*photo editing software.

She chose different men's face features, clothes and background she liked the most.

Result:

I don't know how about you, but I think he has something missing. Maybe it's the face but I don't know. He looks just too weird.... what do you think?

P.S. I want to apologize my sister for bothering her with this stuff :P She was shocked with the results but in bad way (maybe she had a few nightmares :D).

cheers!

ohhh how I've missed the summer

... when the sky is even more blue, the sun is much more brighter, the clouds are lighter, when the smell of newly cut grass and the freshes of air after heavy rain fills my mind and my soul...

when the sound of your favorite song comes pulsing straight into your brain...

Soviet sci-fi architecture

I've found these amazing photos a month ago. They show how people in Soviet union were obsessed with futuristic space age lifestyle and art.

This is a photo of wedding palace. Looks a bit like from 'Star Wars', isn't it?
