The Russian Hobbit

I think all of you have already known, heard, or saw the movie called ‘The Hobbit’.

It seems like Russians made a move called ‘Hobbit’ back in 1985. If you know Russian language well, then you are okay because it has no subtitles.

Here’s the movie:

I’ll come clear with you; I still haven’t seen the new Hobbit movie. I was super-busy faffing around. It still hasn’t come to my hometown and probably never will OR, for about one quid, we’ll get to watch a scratched and worn out movie with a rattling sound of old projector in the background. Vintage, huh?

To be honest, it’s been quite a long time since I went out to watch movies at my local cinema (or cultural house to be precise). Maybe the quality has improved but who knows.

My Brain Does Pretty Things

When I least expect it, my brain does something bombshell.

For instance, in the middle of Lithuanian language lesson 'Last Day of Magic' by The Kills started playing repeatedly in my head for no reason. Last time I heard this song was about two years ago, so I was amazed. I forgot how amazing the song is. I wasn't able to do anything but enjoy the song in elation. I fell in love with this band once again. It's been years since I felt that... um... uplifted and ecstatic.

Thank you, my dear brain, for helping me to attain nirvana. At least at that moment.

The New Year

So, the New Year has come into my little world. I have so much hopes. I hope 2013 will be much better than the last year. Last year was probably one of the worst years I've ever had. Lots of awful things happened to me and I don't want to talk about that - I just don't feel like it.

I don't know why, but to me the New Year has always been a celebration, the moment filled with high hopes and expectations. So many people hope that newly started year will bring love, happiness, success in career - so many hopes put in one day. Perhaps I'm just over-philosophizing things. As usual.

And I'd like to apologize for the bokeh photos. I got a bit carried away taking photos of Christmas lights in my room.
