Things will get better soon, won't they?

"Sometimes I feel so fucked up with everything. I am so tired of failing, feeling sadness... When will this period of darkness end? Sometimes, or more likely, usually, I start laughing. Not because it's funny; I laugh of despair. My laugh is filled with sadness because I do not know what to do..."

"Believe. Believe in the future," somebody has said to me..

These were short extracts from my real-life diary.

... and this song is in my head right now. Don't know why but it keeps me feeling positive about everything

My Drawings Or: How I'm enjoying going to bed 'early'

Last night I could't sleep, so I decided to draw something and I ended up with a bunch of sketches and few a-la Tim Burton style drawings. I went to bed kinda early, at about 2am. It IS early to me :D Anyway, last night was really productive :D

Here are my favourite drawings:

Ships of the Future: Article From Old Lithuanian Soviet Magazine

First of all - Happy New Year my dear readers!

So, I'll tell you a short story how I decided to write about that. On Christmas day my family and I went to the village. I was so bored that I decided to find something interesting and wow! I found even more old Lithuanian soviet magazines with interesting articles. Haha, I'm lucky these days.

So, here's an article from old Lithuanian magazine 'Svyturys' (eng. 'Lighthouse') about how people back in 1965 imagined ships of 21st century.

This is the cover of the magazine:

...and the whole article (photos on other page):
The text is all about the history of ships, but I won't translate the text. I thought it would not be interesting for you to read that as you you can always find even more info on Wikipedia.

So here's the most interesting part: pictures (click to enlarge)

Translation:
pic. number one: oceanic catamaran - the ship of future.
pic. number two: British people are projecting this capacity
of 80 thousand tons atomic submarine. It's lenght - 244
meters, width about 49 meters, height - 15 meters.
pic. number three: American designers are suggesting to
build an original submarine. Control panel is elevated above
the water.
pic. number four: Atomic passenger ship with underwater wings.
pic. number five: In the future, these submarines will be used to catch
whales. As you see, whale will not be able to run away.
pic. number six and seven: These ships will be flying in the 21st century

So, here comes my summary. I think most of them are unreal; just like from my-beloved sci-fi section, but it's nice to see how people back then imagined future ;)
